The Documentation on this page is far from complete. The idea is expanding into something I hope will be more evident visually soon.

Many things going on in Soldier City!
I have not had time to organize much of the documentation, but will get time closer to it this winter. Look here soon for links to: "John Wilkes Booth" running loose in SC; "Media Broadcast from the front lines of SC (via YouTube); SC is being modeled for 3d exploration on Google_Earth; SC video game is underway; and there are virtual artists loose in the streets, making comments about SC current condition.

As you cannot see here, there are multiple iterations of Soldier City that serve as an investigation of something similar to 'the simulacrum' -- though, this is not a singular framework of representation for this artwork. The working intent of this piece: begin with a series of images ,cyclically representing one another, developing an established set of parameters to work from when creating other works. This is a production strategy as much as it is a 'playful' universe meant for the involution of cultural images.

The installation currently shown here is the first excessively physical manifestation. The language evident in its construction references video game hierarchies, as well as war 'floor games' played among children.
